Kyla Ross in Dark Blue

Kyla Ross - P&G Championships 2013 (U.S. Championships

Original

2014 Secret U.S. Classic

That was quite a meet !
Alot of surprises, and also alot of injuries.

So I have learned that making predictions for classics is very confusing, its hard to keep track on who is doing the AA and it's impossible to keep track on all the juniors.
So next year I don't know how I'm going to do about classics.

Junior AA predictions:
1. & 2. Norah Flatley and Nia Dennis (Can't decide)
3. Emily Gaskins
4. Alexis Vasquez
5. Jordan Chiles
6. Grace Quinn
7. Ragan Smith
8. Jazmyn Foberg
9. Victoria Nguyen
10. Rachel Baumann

Results:
1. Jordan Chiles
2. Nia Dennis
3T. Norah Flatley
3T. Deanne Soza
5. Jazmyn Foberg
6. Mailie O'keefe
7. Megan Skaggs
8. Christina Desiderio
9T. Rachel Baumann
9T. Lauren Navarro

Alexis Vasquez and Grace Quinn only did two events.
Jordan Chiles surprised me, she was consistent and had high difficulty.

Senior AA predictions:
1. Siomone Biles
2., 3 & 4. Kyla Ross, Rachel Gowey, Madison Kocian (can't decide)
5.  Brenna Dowell (She olso could be 3. & 4.)
6. Lexie Priesmann
7. Mykayla Skinner & Amelia Hundley
8. Maggie Nichols
9. Veronica Hults
10. Alyssa Baumann & Madison Desh

Results:
1. Simone Biles
2. Kyla Ross
3. Maggie Nichols
4. Rachel Gowey
5. Mykayla Skinner
6. Amelia Hundley
7. Alyssa Bauman
8. Melissa Reinstadtler
9. Samantha Ogden
(There were only 9. AA'ers)

Lexie Priesmann withdrew before competition, Madison Kocian withdrew mid competition due to injury.
Madison Desh only did two events and Veronica Hults and Brenna Dowell only did one event.
I'm sort of happy with my senior predictions.
Maggie Nichols had a great meet, Rachel gowey had a fall on vault, but would probably be third if she would have landed her Amanar. But I still think she is not far behind Kyla Ross.
And one other surprise was Ashton Locklear, I think she has a shot at the worlds team.

I'ts hard to get the nude color. I think it turned out ok.

Secret U.S. Classic - predictions Update

So this will be the last time i will change, I hope, I don't think I will change it alot, but there are some athletes who have withdrawn.

Old Junior predictions:

AA:
(Bailie Key would be 1. but she has withdrawn)
1. Norah Flatley
2. Nia Dennis
3. Emily Gaskins
4. Alexis Vasquez
5. Jordan Chiles
6. Ragan Smith
7. Grace Quinn
8. Ariana Agrapides - Update Jazmyn Foberg
9. Victoria Nguyen
10. Rachel Baumann

New Junior AA:
1. & 2. Norah Flatley and Nia Dennis (Can't decide)
3. Emily Gaskins
4. Alexis Vasquez
5. Jordan Chiles
6. Grace Quinn
7. Ragan Smith
8. Jazmyn Foberg
9. Victoria Nguyen
10. Rachel Baumann

The only change I have done is putting Grace Quinn in 6. and Ragan Smith in 7.
I'm not sure about Alexis Vasquez, she seemed like she was realy saving her body for competition in podium training. But she seemed very mature and knew what she was doing.
This isn't the best list, but i will keep it to see how it will do. This is my first written prediction in gymnastics, so we'll see what happens :)

Old senior AA:
1. Siomon Biles
2. Kyla Ross
3. & 4. Brenna Dowell, Rachel gowey (Can't Decide)
5. Peyton Ernst (She olso could be 3. & 4.)
6. Lexie Priesmann
7. Maggie Nichols
8. Mykayla Skinner
9. Veronica Hults
10. Alyssa Baumann & Madison Desh

(Green text belongs to the old list)
Madison Desh is the only new one on the list.
I have a feeling that Rachel Gowey could be 2.

As earlier I don't know if Madison Kocian does the AA, I think she will be, but she would probably be anywhere fron 2. - 5.
I don't know if Lexie will do the AA, but I put her in the mix, and if Amelia Hundley does the AA she could be anywhere from 6. - 10.
I think from 5'ish to 10. will be wery close.

Peyton Ernst has withdrawn due to injury.

New Senior AA:
1. Siomon Biles
2., 3 & 4. Kyla Ross, Rachel Gowey, Madison Kocian (can't decide)
5.  Brenna Dowell (She olso could be 3. & 4.)
6. Lexie Priesmann
7. Mykayla Skinner & Amelia Hundley
8. Maggie Nichols
9. Veronica Hults
10. Alyssa Baumann & Madison Desh

Here are many changes. I know there are 12 gymnasts in the mix, it doesn't mean that I think there will be two ties, it means that I think the gymnasts are capable to place where I have put them.
But as I said earlier, I think it will be a very close competition, specialy 6-7'ish to 10. could be separated with only 2. points.

And a leotard edit, to end the post.

Her leotard was originaly in a dark pink color, one of the better pink leotards that the gymnasts have worn.

Worlds .. .. ?

Is it only me that has a feeling that Romania, Russia, China and Great Britain are all competing for silver in team finals ??

I think USA will get gold, as it looks right now, and Russia might be able to fight, but they realy only have Mustafina and Kharenkova that are in decent shape and who knows how Komova will do?

Secret US Classic Predictions (Senior)

My predictions for the seniors.

You can se the participants list in my last post :)

AA:
1. Simone Biles
2. Kyla Ross
3. Brenna Dowell
4. Peyton Ernst
5. Maggie Nichols

This is just to get started and go from somewhere :D

I might start up again :) And predictions.

So I haven't posted here for a looong time, and I sort of miss writing about gymnastics, so I might start up again, but I probably won't have weekly themes every week. I will Probably write my own oppinions on stuff.

I have been searching alot for predictions for Secret US Classic and worlds and stuff, and there is not alot out there, so I will make my own predictions and you are welcome to comment.
I dont know if anyone realy is interested in my blog but who knows! :)

6. Ragan Smith
7. Grace Quinn
8. Ariana Agrapides - Update Jazmyn Foberg
9. Victoria Nguyen
10. Rachel Baumann

Norah Flatley and Nia Dennis are quite tied.
The list is a mix of previous results, and the ' It's just a feeling I have'.
So it might not be the best list, but I don't have the time or knowledge to go check all the routines out.

And I might change the list or make new ones :)

Senior and maybe event predictions will come up soon.
